Our Worthing Adventure: Sun, Fun, and New Friendships

Our house sit in Worthing was a whirlwind of exciting days filled with unforgettable moments. From the beach to the fair, the car show to cozy evenings at the local pub, this town has shown us just how beautiful life can be when you embrace adventure. Here’s a look at some of our most memorable days in this charming coastal town, where we not only had fun but also made lasting connections.

Exploring Victoria Park & Making New Friends

One of our first adventures took us to the stunning Victoria Park. This park became our family’s go-to spot, and Dylan had an absolute blast making new friends as he joined in football games with the local kids. It was so refreshing to see him connect with others, creating bonds that would last throughout our stay. The park offered the perfect space for us to unwind, enjoy the sunshine, and for Joey, our lovable lurcher, to explore the grassy fields.

A Fun-Filled Visit to the Fair & Car Show

On another sunny day, we headed out to enjoy Worthing’s weekend fair, where the excitement was palpable! Dylan couldn’t get enough of the rides—his face lit up with joy as he zoomed through the fairgrounds on the thrilling attractions. But the day was made even better by our visit to the car show. We marvelled at the stunning collection of classic cars, modern machines, and everything in between. It was a great way to spend the afternoon, and we even got to chat with some of the car enthusiasts about their prized vehicles. The highlight of the day, however, was our family ride on the big wheel. From the top, we were treated to sweeping views of Worthing, the beach, and the surrounding area. It was a moment of awe, and we couldn’t help but take a deep breath and soak it all in.

A Day at the Beach & Fireworks to End the Night

One of the most relaxing parts of our stay was our mornings and evenings spent by the beach. The sea floor was so flat that Dylan and I were able to walk out past the end of the pier, all the way into the gentle waves. It was an experience we’ll never forget—being able to stroll so far out into the water without a worry in the world. Dylan had a blast exploring and collecting seashells, while Joey trotted along the shore, happy as can be. The beach was the perfect backdrop for our adventures, offering both peaceful moments of relaxation and fun opportunities for exploration.

But the day didn’t end there! As the sun set, we returned to the beach to watch an incredible fireworks display. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the bursts of colourful fireworks lighting up the night sky made it the perfect ending to an amazing day. It was truly a magical experience, and we felt so fortunate to be able to share it as a family.

The Richard Cobden Pub: Where We Found Community

No adventure in Worthing would be complete without a stop at the Richard Cobden Pub. This cozy local quickly became one of our favorite spots. Not only did we enjoy delicious food and drinks, but we also made some wonderful new friends among the locals. It’s amazing how easy it is to connect with people in such a warm and welcoming environment. The pub felt like a second home during our time here, and it was the perfect place to unwind after a busy day of exploring.

Our time in Worthing has been filled with excitement, relaxation, and the joy of new friendships. From the sandcastles at the beach to the local connections we made at the pub, every day brought something special. Joey, our ever-loyal companion, has been a big part of our journey, and we’ve loved caring for him while soaking in the beauty of this town.
