We Created The Guardians Tribe
Because we believed pet and house sitting could be safer, fairer and more human.
As full-time house and pet sitters ourselves, we experienced both the incredible side of this way of living and the gaps that existed within it. We knew trust needed to mean more than simply creating a profile and hoping for the best.
So we built The Guardians Tribe.
What Is The Guardians Tribe?
The Guardians Tribe is a global pet and house sitting community connecting homeowners with trusted Guardians through mutual exchange.
From the beginning, we wanted trust to mean more than simply creating a profile and joining a platform.
Every member completes identity verification. Profiles and listings are manually reviewed, with ongoing checks designed to help maintain the standards of the community.
We also believe protection matters on both sides. Guardians and homeowners are required to have appropriate insurance in place, helping ensure everyone enters an arrangement with greater clarity and protection.
Our trust framework continues beyond verification. Members can build additional trust through recognised indicators, education and training, including our Guardian Essentials course, pet first aid and DBS checks where applicable.
We have clear community standards too. When genuine safety or conduct concerns are raised, we take them seriously. Growing the biggest community has never been our goal. Building one people can actually trust is.
At its heart, The Guardians Tribe remains simple: Guardians offer their time, care and presence in exchange for accommodation, while homeowners gain the reassurance of choosing someone they trust to care for their home and animals.

Every member verifies through Stripe Identity using government-issued photo ID and selfie verification, helping confirm the identity of the person behind the profile.
Insurance
That Covers
Appropriate insurance is required for both Homeowners and Guardians, with cover checked rather than simply self-declared.
Human
Support
Profiles and listings are reviewed by real people, with ongoing checks and human support when members need support.
Mutual Exchange
Guardians exchange their time and care for accommodation, creating a fair arrangement for both sides. No booking fees between members.
Skills & Training
Guardians can access training and pet first aid, building knowledge, confidence and stronger standards of care.

Everything from both memberships, for those who want to welcome Guardians into their own home and also travel as a Guardian.
